Wanting something better for myself financially, I decided to become a real estate agent. I thought it would give me the extra step up in the ladder of life to not have to worry about money so often, and I was right. As soon as I passed my test to become an agent, I rushed out to find a printer in Brisbane so that I could have my very first business cards made. It was the first step toward my financial freedom.
As someone who has no college degree, I found myself having so many difficulties with money. Every time that I would get over one financial hurdle, I found myself running into yet another one. Every time that I saved a little extra money, yet another emergency would crop up and force me to eat up my savings. I felt like I was on a never-ending treadmill. I was tired of it, yet, I had certainly did not have the time to go to the local university to get a degree in any short amount of time. I found myself wondering if my situation was hopeless.
I ended up making an appointment with a financial counselor so that I could get a better handle on my budget. I went over some of my cash woes with her, and she is the one that suggested that I should look into selling homes. She said that all I needed to do was to study hard for the test on my own and pass it, without needing to go to any classes or spend four years in college. It was a brilliant idea.
Each night after work, I came home to study for the exam. I did that for about 5 months. At the end of that time period, I took the test and passed it with flying colors. It feels so good to be able to hand out my business cards to potential customers, and it feels even better when they call me when they’re ready to use my services.
