So how does it work? 

The Bloggers Helping Bloggers program runs for 6 weeks, with a new round of mentoring starting approximately every 8 weeks. Bloggers may participate as often as they’d like, and may do so as either a mentor or mentee (and are welcome to switch roles).

Those who are interested must first notify BHB staff that they would like to participate and specify in what capacity. Please make sure to include your name and site URL or podcast name in that initial contact. You can reach us by email or by using the contact form in the sidebar.

Approximately 2 weeks before the start of a new session, all participants receive a questionnaire to complete. Based on those responses, BHB staff create the best possible matches. It is important that you answer the questions as completely and honestly so we can create those matches. If you’re worried about confidentiality, don’t be. Your answers will be seen only by program staff. The pairs are notified and introduced via email from BHB staff and they take it from there.

Do I need to pay? 

Yes. There is a $25 joiner fee for mentees only, payable upon acceptance to the program. Please note that the fee is nonrefundable once the program session has begun. The fee includes access to successful veteran bloggers, access to our members only forum, and weekly coaching and mentoring emails.

I don’t have a blog yet. Can this program help me?

In order to participate in Bloggers Helping Bloggers, you must have an established blog with some posted content. It doesn’t need to be a perfect, popular, or polished blog but there needs to be some indication that it’s been started and some attempt has been made to keep it current.

If you are thinking about starting a blog, we can help you. However, it would be through our blog coaching and consulting services rather than through BHB. Once your blog is started, you may then participate in BHB.

I’ve been blogging awhile. Can this program help me? 

BHB is designed to help bloggers at all levels improve their blogs. No matter how long you’ve been blogging, you can probably identify a weakness, whether it is in time management, content generation, SEO, monetization strategies or something else. We have mentors who can help you in almost any area you can identify.

In short, if you have a blog, no matter how old it is, and you want to make it better, we can help you!

Is there anything else I need to know?

Although we don’t like too many rules, we have to have a few in order to make the BHB experience as positive as possible. So here they are:

  • Participants agree to communicate with their mentor/mentee at a minimum of once per week. If the minimum requirement is not met, participants may be asked to leave the program.
  • While there is a minimum requirement, overall frequency of interaction is decided by each pair, as is the nature of the coaching (ex., developing a podcast, writing an eBook, securing guest posts, etc).
  • It is highly encouraged that each team write their goals down and review them periodically. A program manual is provided at the start of each session to assist with this.
  • Promotion of the program is encouraged and anyone may blog about it at any time.
